I’ve seen these recently and fell in love with them so I decided to make one with the materials that I like best. So I headed to A.C. Moore and these are the supplies I picked out in the jewelry section!
1. Naturally Chic hemp in 9m 2. Naturally Chic leather cord in 8m 3. Nicole 8mm textured gold beads (I used 2 1/2 packages) 4. Organic Elements button
You will also need a clip board of some type and a needle.
Decide how many times you want the bracelet to wrap around your wrist. I decided on wrapping it twice. So I wrapped the leather cord around my wrist 4 times and then you have to take the length wrapped around your wrist, double it and fold it in half.
Next, tie a knot:
Be sure that the button you chose will fit through this hole above the knot you tied. It can’t fit through too loose though. If it’s too loose the button might slip through and the bracelet could fall off your wrist.
Clip the knot you made onto the board and the ends to the other end of the board.
After you have the bracelet secured, tie the hemp or thread of your choice around one or both strands of the bracelet and begin threading the hemp under and over and back and forth around both sides of the bracelet. Like this:
Then begin threading the beads on. Be sure not to thread them too tight or too loose between the bracelet strands.
Continue threading the beads on until you have your desired length. You may have to unclip the bracelet and wrap it around your wrist a few times to measure it.
When you are finished with the beading tie a knot then take the button and put one strand of the end of your bracelet through like this:
Tie a knot with all three strands and your finished! It should look something like this:
