Hey love this one too. How many skeins of yarn did you use?

Thanks for the tutorial, I’ve been wanting to do this! I have a big white dog too that’s just as interested in helping me. Thanks again.
How many rows did you do? I think I did ten and I’m not sure if it is too small. It is a little tight but it seems like the yarn stretches out as you wear it a bit. Let me know if you get a chance. Thanks!
HI! I’m 13 and I’ve been using your arm knitting patterns for EVER and I’m getting a lot of “wows” so I was wondering if I can start selling them. I just want to make shere it’s ok with you.So what’s the difference between this and the other infinity scarf? Besides the thickness. And what yarn did you use?
Wow it’s a very big yarn

What kind of yarn is used for this project? Just went to my local Joannes and there was nothing that large.
I put links for the yarn in my blog post. I found mine at AC Moore.
Another source for the yarn (Couture Jazz) is Amazon.com… I ordered mine from there at a very reasonable price. Our JoAnne Fabrics store does not have this kind of big & bulky yarn either. Also, Hobby Lobby stores sell something similar to the yarn Maggie uses as well.. and most of the time, you get a better price ordering online. Just a thought… 🙂 <3
Hi, I’m using a yarn similar to the one in this tutorial, but no matter what I do I just get a garter stitch. I’ve tried turning the working yarn towards me like you said, but it does the same thing. It can’t seem to get the stockinette stitch. What am I doing wrong?
I have a lot of time on my hands as I am recovering from surgery and have found this technique of knitting very enjoyable
Hi Maggie – I just made my first infinity scarf using the couture jazz – i love it! I saw you’re other video about arm knitting a blanket, and I’m wondering how many would you cast on for a blamkey using the coutire jazz? And how many rows? Any idea how many skanes of this you’d purchase? Thanks so much!
Just learning this method, enjoyed the video thanks!
Looking forward to making this scarf.
very easy to understand and loved the dog helping!
This was great. Thank you
Great! Arm knit infinity scarf is one of the easiest style in knitting an infinity scarf. You don’t have to consume so many hours to knit. Thank you for sharing this tutorial. Your scarf is lovely, it is looking good! 🙂

It would of been better if the background was all white to c it..
Is your fireplace electric? It’s so cute!
Hey there! No, it’s a wood burning stove. We actually heat most of our house with it 🙂 Thanks!!
Thanks for sharing!!! I’m so excited to try this!
thanks so much! i have never knitted before and i tried your tutorial and now i have a beautiful infinity scarf!
Just learned of arm knitting and have spent a week researching tutorials as I am a real show and tell idiot! I have yet to find any other than Maggie’s that are as well demonstrated and explained – especially for a novice to the knitting world. She is the best – and the dogs are pretty great themselves! Because of her I have finally built up the courage to give it a try. Thanks Maggie!

How many skeins did you use?yours looks pretty thick,i never seen any that thick before?could you provide the name of what you used and how thick also.any info help . Thank u and great job!!
All of the info is in the video.
Great tutorial on arm knitting!!
Hi, I showed this pattern to my aunt and she just wants a scarf not an infinity, so I plan on using this pattern and just not sewing the ends together,
now she happens to be a small person so I was wondering, If I kept the cast on to just 3 and made it slightly longer, do you think I could get away with just using 1 skein?
You’ll need more then one skein. I would suggest 2 or 3 for a straight scarf.
ok great thanks!
Loved the demo have watched other ones but they were not as easy to get my head around but don’t know where to get this yarn in the UK.
You showed the actual knitting process better than anyone else I watched, and from the same point of view ours would be. Most people have not done that and it screwed me up. Thank you!
Thank you! I have a roll of 3″ ribbing that I used to make a scarf while watching your video.
Too fun!
Since the yarn you used is so hard to find, and is pretty much sold out, have you found a compatible yarn that you would recommend? Thank you 🙂
Going to try this
Very informative, learned a lot. You take your time, and that is very helpful. Thank you
Hello,
I am finding it very difficult to get this yarn at a reasonable price in the UK. Could you offer an alternative company than to the one used?
Many thanks,
Your directions seem so easy to follow. I definitely plan to try this one.
I love the video just for the dog. I too have a great dane who “bops” me with his paw when he wants attention. 🙂
A great tutorial on the hand knitting Infinity scarf. This is a new learning method which I hope to try shortly. Your dog is beautiful and so good!

Hi there,

Great tutorial! Think I will try it. I crochet but don’t knit so it should be interesting to see how I do. Maybe my granddaughter will do it too.
Awesome! What age child would you say this project would be good for teaching?
Is there a site that has written instructions?
I don’t do well with video teaching.
How many rows did you do in total for this? Looks really easy to do.

This is amazing! I have been a knitter for 7 years and I started out finger knitting. This is way more useful and a great way to do quick gifts. I would suggest to anyone who is up for the challenge to graft the two sides together instead of sewing the way you did. This would give you an almost seamless look and it’s not so daunting of a task with only 6 stitches. Thanks for all this.
Hi! Would you mind if I share your blog with my facebook group? There’s a lot of folks that I think would really appreciate your content. Please let me know. Cheers|
Sure!

Is there a way of making the scarf longer by chance? I love the look of this scarf but would want it to be longer than just what it makes! Thanks so much for the tutorial!!!
Sure. Just keep arm knitting more rows.
This is perfect for my tween daughter. She’s been wanting to learn, but doesn’t have a lot of patience. Thanks so much for sharing!

Thanks so much for this tutorial! I never learned to knit, though I have watched other tutorials. Most how-to knitting videos show thin yarn and it’s harder to see what’s being done. I never had anyone to tech me in person, until you came along. This video taught me to knit a basic stitch. I really appreciate the slow, repetitive steps that help one understand! I can see how this would easily translate to smaller yarns and knitting needles. NOW I understand!

My working yarn and tail end up on the opposite ends when I’m finished with it and I’m ready to see it together… How is that happening? And also… Mine isn’t coming together evenly… Some areas have bigger holes than the others. Help!
Hi Maggie,
I have just stumbled upon your video on arm knitting an infinity scarf. I’m wondering if you can give advice on how to make it longer where it’s not so close to your throat. Where it hangs down longer? Thanks so much. Can’t wait to get started.
