I made it! I’m half way through my pregnancy and I am feeling pretty great. I just said to my husband last night, I don’t even feel pregnant. I mean I have pregnancy symptoms, but size wise I just feel a tad bloated haha.
See my symptoms and the gender reveal below!
Pregnancy symptoms weeks 17 – 20:
-Heartburn like never before! This baby better come out with a head full of thick hair.
-Cravings include: Lemonade, soft serve vanilla chocolate twist ice-cream cone with rainbow sprinkles (specific, I know), salmon, spinach, lemon water, salads, avocado grilled cheese, sweets as usual and I seem to have the munchies the past few days.
-Weight gain: As of 17 weeks I had lost a pound. I head into my 21 week appointment in 2 days so we’ll see if I have gained anything the past 4 weeks. My scale at home says 1 1/2 lbs, my belly says more like 5 pounds! So I’ll be sure to update in the next few days. UPDATE! I have gained 4 lbs so far this pregnancy. Exact same amount as my previous pregnancy at 20 weeks.
-Mask of pregnancy going strong! Freckles like I have never seen.
-Dermatitis, which I had in my last 2 months of pregnancy with ryder. It’s not terrible, just a bit of dry skin around my jaw line and mouth area.
-Clear skin for the most part.
-Round ligament pain. I noticed last week I had a ton of this and by the end of the week my belly had grown quite a bit. Ive been having more this week so we all know what that means!
-TONS of movement from the little one. Kicks, jabs, squirms, flips. Seems like all day, every day.
-I swear this baby is stealing my eyebrows. Unless the eyebrow gel I use now and then was unknowingly pulling out hairs, they are disappearing because of pregnancy. So I’m taking a break from the gel and hoping they thicken up soon!
-Nails grow an inch a day
-Restless legs in the afternoon and around bed time.
-Lower back pain if I am on my feet for any amount of time.
-I noticed a few varicose veins at my knees and ankles. All new to me since I didn’t have them last time around. Let’s hope those fade after pregnancy.
-My belly is quite small, so no stretch marks yet.
– I still fit into all of my pre-pregnancy pants, they just obviously don’t come close to being buttoned. I carry so low that by 10-12 weeks most pants don’t button and most tops just look awkwardly short. Hence me mentioning at 11 weeks that I pulled out my maternity wardrobe.
-Hormones cause some mood swings here and there. Just two days ago I could have cried all day even though it was a good day and nothing was going wrong. I am SO thankful I’m not normally a hormonal mess, even around that time of the month.
We had our mid pregnancy ultrasound at 20 weeks and 1 day and we found out we are having a GIRL!!! We were both in shock and beyond excited.
Little Nora Autumn is growing perfectly and is right on time with her due date of October 18th.
If you’d like to see this ultrasound footage, I added some into this week’s vlog. Watch below:
I can’t believe I am more than half way through. I can’t wait to see her little face in just 4 1/2 months.
