I was just wondering… When you make a arm knit throw blanket about how many bundles of yarn do you use? I really like the most recent blanket you made, the striped one. I am not good at figuring out the amount yarn to use for projects. I usually don’t get enough or I get way to much. Any tips would be helpful. Thank you for taking the time to make videos to help others.
I probably missed it but how many skeins of yarn in each color did you use for this blanket. I really like doing the different colors and the different stitches so I want to try this one.
Thanks
You have the BEST videos! When transferring from one arm to the other .. does it matter which way your hand goes into the new stitch? It looks to me like you always go into the new stitch from the side closest to you .. I seem to have an easier time going from the other side – does it matter? Thanks!!
Hi Maggie! I commented on your youtube video, but I wasn’t sure if you would see it there. I’m a little confused about how much yarn to get for this project. I decided I wanted to make a blanket that was approximately 5 feet by 3 feet, so I watched your 45 minute arm knit blanket video. You mentioned in the video that you used about 11 skeins of yarn for that size of blanket, but in the pattern, you said you only needed 8 skeins to make that size. Which one is correct (or which one would you recommend)? Also, which type of knit blanket is larger when the same amount of yarn is used: rib stitched or stockinette stitched? I want to do the stripes like in this video, but I was worried a ribbed blanket would roll on itself, making it smaller. Thank you for your help!
Hi Maggie! I left a comment on one of your youtube videos, but I wasn’t sure if you would see it. I’m a little bit confused about how many skeins of yarn to use for this project. I would like to have a blanket that is probably 5 feet long and 3 feet wide, so I watched your 45 minute arm knit blanket video. You mentioned that you used 11 skeins for the project, but in the pattern, you suggested 8 skeins of yarn for the desired size. Which one is correct (or which one do you recommend)? Also, I noticed that you made one blanket with the stockinette stitch and one with ribbing, and I was wondering which one would be larger if I used the same amount of yarn to knit both types of blankets? I really like the striped blanket, but I’m hesitant to use a rib stitch since it seems to use the same amount of yarn with a smaller size. Thanks!?

Hi there. I just added all the necessary information at the bottom of the post.

Hi there. I just went ahead and added what I used. It’s at the bottom of the post.
Hi, I love this blanket! How many rows do you think one skien of yarn does?
Thanks!

How many rows did you make with the 9 skeins?
