I made two more scarves! My Mother in-law is giving them as gifts and these are the colors and yarn she picked out. They are SUPER soft and so comfy and warm. I will definitely be making one for myself soon!
The materials I used:
Top scarf – Bernat Roving Yarn in the color Putty.
Bottom scarf – Bernat Roving yarn in the color Rice Paper.
I used two strands at one time when knitting so that requires to skeins of yarn for each scarf but it doesn’t use all the yarn.
How to:
Watch my arm knitting video here to learn how to arm knit.
Step 1:
Cast on 16 stitches
Step 2:
Knit until the scarf is long enough to wrap around your neck twice
Step 3:
I used a crochet hook to “sew” the ends together with the scarf inside out and then weaved the ends of yarn in with a yarn needle
These are the most simple scarves you can make but they look great and are so warm!
I do sell them for 20.00 each, so if you aren’t into DIY but would like one for yourself just leave a comment below and I’ll be in touch:)

Absolutely love it! I’m a crocheter and have no clue about knitting, but thanks to your tutorial, I am gonna give it a try 🙂
Would love to purchase one in black. You can reach me at moniq565@yahoo.com
Thank you.
Hello. If you go to http://www.facebook.com/velvetcove and click “shop now” you can make a purchase there:) I don’t have any black ones for sale but just purchase one of the other ones and I can switch out the color.

I’m having a hard time with one step of the knitting process. It’s driving me crazy actually. The last stitch is driving me up the wall. I can’t seem to get it right. Please help me 🙁
The last stitch? Could you be a little more specific as to what you’re having trouble with and maybe I can help.:)
So when I make the first set of stitches of my right arm and o am then transferring them over to my left arm to start knitting. The last stitch on my right arm always messes me up. When I knit it, it never comes out right and I have this long extra yarn in the way for some reason when I go and pull it tight. I hope that makes sense.
Nevermind!! I figured it out lol!!!
Awesome scarf, great video how to!
hint: You can just purchase one skein and roll into two balls, that’s what I usually do when I buy yarn, so I can use to make my chunky knits.
Maggie, I’ve watched your video tons of times and I guess I must be the only person out there that still does not get it! Can you help me please! I love the scarf and blanket and have spent most of today trying and failing!
Hello, my only advice is just to watch very closely at where the working yarn goes. Hope this helps.
So I just made this scarf tonight. I live it. Thanks for the video.
Only thing is my sides look weird. When switching from one hand to the next is the first loop turned the opposite way than the next 5 or no? Cause I feel like that’s the part i might be messing up.
Thank you! I have been trying to knit something but this was So easy! I did messed up a bit at the edges, one side was longer than the other one, but I am willing to keep practicing.
When arm knitting a blanket, could you use more than three strands to make it bulkier?
Just want to say love your scarf with the button. Is there anyway you can send me the pattern for both the scarf and the wrap part with button. Would love and try to make one for my daughter. She loves infinity scarves. Thank-you
A girl at work showed me a picture of it and I got so excited came home and searched until I found the picture.
Hello, Both patterns can be found under knit and crochet on my blog. Look for the 30 minute scarf and the button cuff tutorials.
