Do you have this pattern for crochet?
You can probably do this with an afghan hook ๐ Make the beginning and end of the work ribbing with the *front post double crochet, back post double crochet* and work the afghan stitch. What you might have to do is make a flat piece measuring in about 36″ or your desired length and then sew the two ends. It would have a seam.
If you dont like this or dont want a seam you can always use an I hook. ch 120, rib the beginning and ends and half double crochet the wrest of it.
If you dont like these methods heres a nice pattern:

HI Maggie. Thanks for this post. I want to know if there is a way to arm.knit without ending up with giant holes all thru the blanket? Is there a way you can do it tighter by maybe using thicker yarn?
Thanks so much
Angie
Yes, if you check out my “How to Arm Knit a Blanket in 45 Minutes” you’ll see ๐
This is a perfect cowl pattern ~ it will be a gift to my daughter-in-law, and she will love the versatility of cowl.
Many thanks, Margo
Hello this is an amazing cowl
Is there anyway you can tell me what size of yarn you used?
Like a size 6 chunky or smaller? Thank you
6 super bulky
Hi! Thanks for sharing these posts! Is there any way you can make a video of this pattern? I’m new to knitting:)
Is there a way this pattern can be adapted to a size 19 circular, 24 inch? It’s the closest I have to the size you listed here. I’m really bad at math though, so if you could help I’d sure appreciate it. I love this pattern!
Has anyone made this longer so that it wrapped looser around the neck? I’m a new knitter but assume that you could just cast on additional stitches without ruining the design?
Do you have a how-to video on how to knit this tri-style cowl? I’m going to start off with the arm knitting, and once I get the hang of that, I’ll start knitting with needles. Will that work?
Hi Maggie. I’m learning all sorts of new things from you as I am very new to knitting. Thank you. I am wondering how you made the edge on this cowl? And are you possibly doing a video for this one soon?
Hello. I use the rib stitch (purl 2 knit 2). I will do my best to make a video soon!
Hi Maggie!
Finished this cowl last night and I LOVE it. Thanks for the pattern.
However, a word to anyone fairly new to knitting like me who only knows one bind off method: bind off LOOSELY in order for this cowl to wrap around twice comfortably. I bound off too tight and the cast on side is stretchy while the other is not. This cowl is still gorgeous as is, but would love to bundle up with it and wrap it around twice. Hopefully my next one turns out better! ๐
Do you think this would look ok in a 5 Bulky. Would it be the same size but just thinner?
Thanks.
It should still look great.

I would love the Tri Cowl pattern. If it is a free pattern I’d love to have it.
