Finger knitting is right up there in popularity with arm knitting. Except with this technique you make smaller scale pieces. Like this ear warmer! I made mine in 15 minutes.
Materials:
-2 skeins of chunky to super bulky yarn in contrasting colors (Click the images below to purchase these items on Amazon)
OR
-One skein of yarn for a solid colored ear warmer

This is awesome! Can’t wait to learn how to do this! Thank you for having such neat ideas!
I just added the video 🙂
You explain things so well! Thank you!! I just learned how to arm knit, now I’d like to try this! Do you just tie it together to make it a headband or do you bind it like you do for the infinity scarf? I so super appreciate your efforts and videos as I do not knit with needles so this is a great way for me to knit!!!
This was really helpful!! You helped me accomplish Christmas gifts!!! Thank you and you eyes are beautiful !
Thank you.

Could you use this same technique for finger knitting a blanket? Would you recommend that?
Great tutorial! Thank you for such a thorough explanation!
So I tried to make the blanket with the arm knitting and it kept turning out really weird. I found this and decided to try and make a blanket. I did it! I just did 81 stitches- six blue and six brown and sewed them together. It turned out very well. Thank you very much!
How many skeins did you use?
I explain in the video tutorial. If you want one color buy one skein, if you want 2 colors use 2 skeins.
U can use the same tecnique for making a blanket but u must see the rows together and u have to make the rows the same length
Can you just keep adding on to make a scarf?
Love, love! Thank you!
Jc
Where’s the pattern?
It’s a video pattern.
Could I make this as a scarf? Of course I know I’d have to make many more rows. I love the simplicity, i am left handed and this was very nicely done.
Thank you.
Always wanted to make this very easy instructions
Love this ear warmer
This is so cool! i have been arm knitting for a while and have made a number of scarves that way, this is such a cute idea to make something that matches or a set! =)
Very cute and easy earwarmer.

Thanks for the video! I love these and now I think I get the concept of knitting (I am a self taught crocheter) I think after I make a couple of the ear warmers I’m going to try it as a blanket as well : D
This looks awesome cant wait to try
Looks great! Can’t wait to try these out with my daughter! TY!
So please show a pic of tying them together to finish it. Do you untie it to take it off? Do you leave it tied and if so what does it look like on someone with short hair that doesn’t cover it up. I am a 48 year old Dad who is an idiot when it comes to things like this, but would look awesome if I could make a couple for the ladies in my life. Please show putting them on and how to wear them (tying and such).
Thanks.
Hi there, just tie a simple bow with the strands to secure it in place. Untie the bow to take it off.

About how many would you recommend for the ear warmer if its for a 7 year old? Trying to surprise her….
This is so cool. I’m going to try and make matching ones my daughter and i. Her head is smaller so I was wondering if it’s possible to use two fingers for hers instead of three, so it’s not so thick? Thanks for your help!
I made this today with some super thick chenille wool in cream for the main colour and chocolate brown for the middle. It turned out great! Plus it is super fluffy and warm! Only things I changed is I did the middle strip on 3 fingers instead of 4 because the wool I used is so thick and fluffy, and i used a nice wooden button at the back which goes into any of the loops. Thank you so much for the wonderful tutorial! Made a second with only 2 strips for my daughter!
I love this ideal, I just done 5 of them in about 2 days time could be even more, but have to work. Now I have people wanting them. Thanks for the ideal.
