He’ll be here in 2 weeks or less! I feel awesome and am so beyond excited to see his little face.
One of my doctors guesses he will weigh somewhere in the 6lb. 4oz. – 6lb. 8oz. range. We’ll see! My guess is 7lbs.
Weeks 36-38 Pregnancy Symptoms:
-Nesting. It’s INSANE how strong the urge is to clean and organize, throw things out and just keep everything as perfect as can be. My thought that runs through my mind constantly is “If I go into labor right now I do not want to come home to this mess or this unfolded blanket or this dirty dish or crumb on the counter” haha. It keeps me on my toes!
-Energy, and a lot of it! Great for the nesting urges I guess. I have been blogging, filming, painting, scrubbing, shopping, you name it (other than heavy lifting), I am doing it. Helps me sleep a little better at night after getting so much work done.
-Very frequent bathroom breaks.
-Loss of appetite. Not only does nothing sound yummy, there is just no room for more than a few bites. If I do push myself to eat it leaves me feeling as if my belly is going to just burst.
-Weight loss. Rather than putting on a pound at my 37 week appointment, I lost over a pound. Leaving my total weight gain so far at 28 lbs. Not too bad since my goal was to gain 30 or less. It could be a shift in fluids, less constipation, I have been very active…
-No stretch marks! Yet!
-CRAZY lightning crotch. Oh man does it take my breath away. Keep your head, still sweet little boy.
-Light menstrual cramps in my lower abdomen and lower back.
-I feel like he could pop right out if I squat. I know, it’s not that easy.
-Pressure on my pelvic bones.
-My absolute favorite thing at the moment is seeing my baby boy “Practice Breathing”. I told my doctor that I can see a breathing motion through my belly and I feel it. He said that is a sign of a happy and comfy baby. It melted my heart.
-Mood swings, not horrible, but it could just be that I drive myself insane with the indecisiveness.
-Leaky boobs, mostly at night.
-Dermatitis has been fading. Could be the hormones or the warmer weather.
–Cravings: Bananas, fruit smoothies, Moose Tracks ice cream, milk shakes, captain crunch, applesauce, pineapple, chocolate milk, avocado, ice water, home made burgers, yogurt …at least there’s fruit in there, right?
I haven’t had all of these, they just sound delicious. I have been going through bananas and frozen fruit like CRAZY. Yogurt is a daily snack and a burger a week is WAY more than I use to eat. I have a feeling that will go away as soon as the baby boy arrives. Captain Crunch is on my menu for tomorrow 🙂
My next prenatal visit is this Friday, the 11th. It will just be the usual quick check up for 38 weeks and then at 39 weeks (if I make it to the end of next week) I will be checked to see if I am dilating. WOO!
Ryder will be here in my next post!
I don’t plan on doing another update before he is here because it will most likely be the same old symptoms post. I plan on sharing his photos and my labor and delivery story next. 😀
